What kind of promise leaders can give you?

It's a tradition that the leaders take a talk with the newcomers. Here is not an exception.
The topic I want to tell here is not what content the talk is, but what result we can get!
The result is: no result!
I knew the difficulties leaders face, so I just raised two problems the leader can solve, and left the meeting room, ended the talk!
One is the supplimentary of lunch, the other is the lost mail of mine. And I felt I am too private, because I have not mentioned any question we all face, such as the research system.
